CRATER LAKE-OREGON

On our LONG drive home from NV (see last post), we decided to go a different way home and see Crater Lake. I've been, but Melissa hasn't, so we went.

And it is still BEAUTIFUL!!!

And last time I went, there wasn't snow around it, so it was a different view.

Oh my, haha! My Sis was posing, so I hopped up there too and struck a pose.

Silly little girl! And no, she isn't cold. It actually felt great up there even though

my car temp said 50 degrees.

Soooo very blue and awesome! This was a volcano that erupted 7,700 something years ago and then filled with water from snow runoff and continues to replenish itself. I wanted to do the boat ride around the lake (the only boat allowed in), but it's a difficult climb to the bottom and back up, not happening in my state.

And lets not forget the ride home, Ava worked along time to get it on her head, then she fell asleep! Cute girl, she was a real trooper!

FAMILY REUNION=CRAZY BUT GOOD TIMES!!!

Ava was kind enough to occupy her Baby and read her stories...it took us about 11 hours
to get there, but we broke it up in 2 days each way.

Let the good times begin! Ava and my cousins' little girl. They didn't always

get along or agree, but I think they still had some fun.

Haha! They didn't even know I took this! My sis was an angel and let Ava

sleep with her everynight. I was afraid she'd get cold and I move WAY too much at night, so they cuddled together and stayed warm. Me, didn't do too much sleeping anyhow. Pregnancy and camping really don't mix well (and for some reason I'm going camping this coming weekend...I'm crazy).

It was GREAT seeing all my extended family, they are awesome!

I was a party pooper and left a day earlier than I was going to, it was hard not sleeping and then being stuck in the heat all day with little relief, but we still had fun while there!

Other note: I'm 30.5 weeks preggo!!!!! Rock on!!! Only 8.5 weeks to go since I'll be doing a C-section at 39 weeks (but hoping I go into labor before then)! Ava hugs and kisses her baby sister everyday. She is still an unnamed child, I'm just baffled. Don't worry, I will share when we decide. Counting down though, the hips are KILLING me!!!!

1st Trip to the DENTIST (aka Mommy's work)!

First she got to watch me clean Aunt Melissa's teeth (and try to help by holding onto the scaler

while in Melissa's mouth!). Then she had her own turn. She was a little confused because I kept telling her that Trish was going to clean her teeth, and she knows my name is Trish.

Well, the other hygienist is Trish and she is having a baby 2 weeks after me, crazy huh?

Ava kicked back and let the polishing procede. She did really good, though Trish

had to stop alot and give her lots of rinses.

She was excited about the Toothbrush and flossers, though she didn't show it for the camera!

Then she even let Dr Troy take a look in, what a champ!

No cavities yet, woohoo!

When she woke up from her nap, Jeremy had just gotten home and the 1st thing

she told him was "Daddy, I got my teeth cleaned."

She even had her 1st swimming lesson in the morning with her Aunt, it's a "Mommy and Me" type class, so they'll go twice a week. It's fun having Aunt Lissa around to take her places and do stuff with! She's even napping in our house again (she was just doing it at daycare for awhile).

And I have to brag! Ava is freaking ADORABLE today!
We cut her hair shorter again yesterday and bought her this cute dress,
she's a doll! (Just not always the personality to match it).

Weekends are a blast!!

This past weekend was, yet exhausting for me!

My Sister arrived Friday to spend the next 2 months being Ava's Nanny and

hanging out with us. She'll be running back to Utah by then.
My cousin Candace drove w/ Melissa to keep her company and stayed for the weekend,

so we had to show her how AWESOME Oregon is!!!! Above is a nearby waterfall, one of many that we passed.

The other little child is my friend's girl Kaelynn. She got to hang
with us for the day while they were moving, I'm so sad, even though they're only 20 minutes away now.

We took a drive to the Coast, visiting Seaside and Cannon Beach.

Ava loves the Carousel, though she asked Melissa if she could get off at one point.

We had to hit up the candy store, Ava was a great helper with picking out taffy and had

to have a candy necklace too.

We LUCKED out with blue skies and a high of 60 degrees at the beach,

doesn't happen often, or at least when I come.

I'm soooo very excited to have my sister around,

she's the BEST!!!

This is why I picked out the Bubblegum, I knew it'd end up on her clothes and

blend in nicely. Except it's ALL over her!

(Don't her bangs look hideous, Jeremy wants me let them grow out, not too sure)

This sums up our weekend! Though we also went into downtown Portland to

see a parade Sat. night and Sunday we drove across town to have dinner with my Grandparents and Uncle & Aunt. I spents HOURS driving around, that's just exhausting.

Ava loves her "Jakie!" Poor dog gets tormented though. Somehow though

he stayed and layed down with her for quite awhile, not that he had a choice.
(She does have a diaper on, we're not nudists)

Because this is what Daddy is really good at! He's more fun to play

with that cuddle with, that's Mommy's job.

In other news, we are working on Potty Training. We've been pretty laid back about it though. But she had been staying dry (mostly) and did her 2nd Poop in 2 weeks that made it to the toilet yesterday. We were all very excited, especially Ava since she got a toy for doing it!

Let's hope she keeps this up, but Aunt Melissa will be here soon to really help out since she's going to be her "Nanny" for 2 months.....I'm so excited!

Baby #2 is growing fast & big, or it's just me! I still have 3 months, but people think I should be having like in a couple weeks, the looks I get are priceless. Thanks peeps!

Still no name in mind...any ideas???

We do think I'll just go ahead with a C-section, because we think it's going to be another Monster baby and I don't feel like trying to push it out. Plus I won't have to wait HOURS in labor, just 5 minutes to cut baby out and maybe 40 minutes to sew me up, easy huh?

Anywho, that's our update. Maybe, just maybe I'll take a pic of my belly soon...though it's embaressingly huge! :)

Time with The Frey's!

Jeremy's Mom, Dad, and brother Joe (Uncle Joey) came

for a visit from good ol' Minnesota!

Ava talks to them all the time on Webcam, so

she know just who they were when they arrived.

I tried to move this pic to the bottom, didn't work today.
This is Ava all tuckered out after a day of driving to the beach,
playing on the beach, and just having fun.
We rented a Beach House for a couple nights, well the 1st night it
was all too new to Ava, so I think she was afraid to go to sleep alone.
So we let her stay up till she crashed, at 10:45PM!!!
Then she still woke up 3 times in the night and was wide-eyed at 7am (or was it 6).

The Oregon Coast water is FREEZING! So it's only fun to run
away from the water and not get wet.

This is what she probably has to look forward to though,

poor girl will have height and big feet on her side.

Flying her Princess Kite, she did a good job.

Though the crazy amount of wind present that day helped a lot.

So on the way to the Coast, we stopped for Lunch and Ice Cream at DQ.

Well Ava is horrible in resturants and can't sit still for a second, drives us NUTS!

So she's goofing off and sits on the table, right on a pile of ketchup for her hot dog!

Had to strip the pants and wash them, so this is what she got left with.

Ghetto huh? But oh so cute.
