Easter happenings!

Of course I posted the photos in the wrong order...oh well.

And if you are my Facebook friend, you've seen most of these.

Above pic is from Easter night, after a fun egg hunt at my Aunt & Uncle's house.

The adults even get to hunt for eggs with candy in them!

The Friday before Easter I hosted Playgroup with our friends and we had

an egg hunt in my yard. The kids loved it!!!

Here is our group! We love these kids and their Mommies. Unfortunately many of them

will be moving away this year, due to their husbands graduating Chiropractic college (it's close by, so we have lots of them in our Church). And all of them, except for me, are expecting!!!

And of course there were treats! Aren't they cute? :) I just copied a pic I saw online, pretty easy.

Life update:

~Girls are sleeping great all night...Mommy is very happy.

~Mya is sitting up great and rolling around alot. She tried to get on her knees last week. I'm not ready for her to move so much.

~My sister is getting MARRIED in 5 weeks...I'm soooo excited! I'm attempting to make Ava and her cousin matching, formal dresses. It's not going well, thankfully I'll see my Mom this weekend and get her advice/help.

~Jeremy is getting his Wisdom teeth out in 4 weeks! :) Haha! They have cavities and are just of no worth, need to go. He is NERVOUS!

~This weekend I'm going to 'Time Out For Women' in Seattle with my Mom & SIL Shanda, it's going to be awesome & uplifting...and I need some uplifting.

~The weather here sucks...someone send us the Sun and a little warmth, it was 41 degrees today! Yikes.

Playing catch up!

We spent Conference weekend at my Mom's house. Ava has been begging to see her "Best Friend Kiera." But now that we went, she's even more sad to not be with her all the time.

Here is Grandma with her 3 oldest Grandchildren! Saturday my Brother & SIL took us out to eat at The Old Spaghetti Factory! It's been FOREVER since I've been to that place, very yummy though. Kael had to be a goof for the camera! Mya got a taste of their ice cream and didn't think too highly of it. I missed all the really good faces she made. She is so not my child if Ice Cream is not her thing!

Today we did legs, after a few minutes she was tired and confused by the workout.

We had to go to Deseret Book store a couple weeks ago and since the Temple is right there, we paid it a visit. There were 3 couples outside that had just got married (and all their family/friends). Ava kept talking about when Aunt Melissa and Andy gets married in the temple and how she wants to marry Melissa. But today it switched to Kiera!

Sleeping update: Mya responded very nicely to the "crying it out method." She is out from 7:30/8 ish pm to about 5:45-6:30am. I don't like the 5:45 am days but she'll usually go back down 30 minutes later. And Ava has been doing awesome as well, funny how they correlated all that together.

Not much else going on with us. Our biggest struggle is Ava and her inability to listen and obey us. It's very much testing our patience. Not sure what to do about. She gets a lot of time outs these days, but never seems to learn from them. After hearing last year that age 3 is worse than 2, a patient at work tells me by far 4 is even worse. When does it get better??? My Mom says at about my age! Well that's no help! I need to practice more patience and less raising of my voice! That's our life, now you are all caught up!

Random pics & Sleeping update!

First, I added two pics of Ava, just to compare. The above one is Ava @ 6 months, about the same age as Mya is now. Mya is definitely becoming her own person.

I have to laugh because the above pic is Ava at almost 4 months in this adorable 6 month dress my Sister bought her and below is Mya in the dress for the first time, now at 6 months. The ROLLS on Ava's arms are just unbelievable, and those fat legs too. Such different babies!

Mya is also behind on the hair growth. She still has some of her baby brown hair, though I can see lighter blonde coming in around it.

We are working on her sitting skills, still not there, especially when she gets distracted and tumbles backwards.

Not sure why we are promoting MORE sticking out of the tongue, we get enough of it daily without prompting it.

We got bored, so what better to do then make some cookies and let Ava do the "clean up work."

Mya is always laughing for her Sister, but makes us work hard for it, no fair!

Me & my Ava

First swing ride at the Park. It seems like forever since we've been to the park. I'm so ready for better Spring days to get here.

We are now mostly healthy, I still have a slight sore throat that won't go away, but I feel good. Jeremy decided it was time to Sleep Train (aka let baby Cry It Out). It's so tough for me, but now that we've done it, I'm kicking myself for not doing it a couple months ago. The first night there was LOTS of crying on and off, but then she slept. The second night some more on/off crying till about 11pm, then all sleep till the morning. 3rd night was a half hour of crying at 8:30pm and the rest of the night sleep till 6:30am. 4th night, NO CRYING and ALL SLEEP until 5:30am. The next day she slept till 7am. And surprisingly Ava has slept through most the crying with no problem and her sleep has improved. Before she was waking a couple times a night and coming to our bed, but all week she only did it once. Sleep is a good thing, but then I remember that I have a hard time falling and staying asleep regardless. And I'm a CRAZY dreamer. I watched two of my brothers fall to their death last night and I woke up feeling like it was real. But it's soooo nice not being awoken and having to crawl out of my warm bed 3-7 times a night. Yes, you read that right. It was getting upwards of 7 times between the two. Okay, I'm done ranting! Go Girls!!!!

Family Photos & our snow!

Woohoo, Portland got a whole inch or two. And the crazy people they are, they shut down most the schools. And when Portland Public school closes for snow...so does my work! :) Though it made for a long week at home, because tuesday of that week Ava had a fever, so I stayed home, then worked Wed. and had Thursday as a snow day. I love my girls, but I don't think I'm meant to be a stay at home Mom, I go crazy!
But we bundled up and went out to play before it melted like an hour later. Ava had a good time eating it and we built a 10 inch snowman, he was sad.

It's been over a year since we had pics done, so we had to get in before Mya gets too big

and we miss all the cute baby shots. They all turned out beautiful!

Mya did really well too, got some cute faces.

Ava can be a doll sometimes. But that ear kept poking out in all the pics,

we should have taped it back when she was a baby and we had noticed it starting to poke out more than her left one (not that we would've really done that people). Oh well.

The one pic I didn't order that I should have, was just like this one but we got her other arm up and she was flipping us the middle finger! But she had the cutest little smirky grin to go with it, classic!

In other news: We've been house bound for almost 2 weeks...it sucks. Ava came down with a nasty cold & cough, that she then spread to poor Mya. Mya had her 6 month check-up on the 28th and the Doctor said she may have RSV, but a slight case and no meds needed. Poor girl still sounds bad, but I think they are both on the mend. And I've been fighting it on and off, currently on and Jer has a sore throat today. We miss our friends and hope to see them all next week.

Just weaned this week, now only on formula (I was having issues producing again and decided it wasn't worth the stress knowing if she wasn't getting enough or not...I'm okay with my decision)

Loves to laugh at her sisters. (Ava gets mad when Mya laughs when Ava gets hurt and she'll tell her "it's not funny Mya!")

Hates being on the tummy, quickly rolls to the back.

On the move!

I was noticing a lack of partially nude pics of Mya, so I had to get some, especially to capture

the chub she's developing. I'm pretty sure in this past week alone she's gained at least a pound.

She is growing fast!

And she is also on the move. At 5 1/2 months she now rolls from her tummy to her back and when on her back, she rolls to the side. She hates her tummy, so I'm sure she doesn't want to roll all the way over yet. But she is wiggly. She is never in the same place I put her anymore.

And she's finally found her feet, so cute!

I know I've said that a million times, but it's so true and she makes me smile all day.

Night time is a completely different story. Help! She is waking 4-6 times a night and I just replace her binkie and she's out again, but she just keeps waking. Sometimes I'll feed her at 4 am just to get some needed sleep, but I always feed her at 10pm and I know she can make it the whole night. Any advice? I know I need to let her cry it out a little more, but I hate to wake Ava, she has her own sleep issues.

A weekend of celebrations!!!

This little man turned 1 years old this past week! My nephew is such a little stud muffin. And boy did he love his cake. (The pics are all out of order, sorry)

Her and Ava had a fun weekend playing, though they had some disagreements as well. Kiera kept telling Ava she was her Best Friend, so sweet.

Daddy loving on Mya! She's already a Daddy's girl. It's hard to feed her with him around, cause she'll hear his voice and turn his way and give him a big smile, then continue eating. This can happen several times though. She is so dang sweet and such a happy little clam!

I was itching to do more crafts this past week. So after looking on etsy.com and seeing some cute dresses, I looked up online how to make them (they are called Pillowcase dresses, though I didn't use pillowcases). After making one for Ava in 1 1/2 hours, I decided Mya and cousin Kiera needed one so they could all match at church on Sunday. The 2nd and 3rd one only took an hour each, after figuring out what I did wrong the 1st time. They all looked so cute in them!

Here is my model after making her dress. She decided to stay in it all that day, even though it was a bit chilly, and my house is always chilly.

And the other celebration that took place was that Jeremy & I celebrated 11 years together on Saturday! Since we were up in WA, my brother & SIL & Mom (for part of the night) babysat our girls. We went and saw the movie, "The Dilema", which was funny & crazy. Then went to The Melting Pot for dinner. Our reservation was for 7:45pm and we finished up at 10:50pm! That was the LONGEST dinner we've ever been to. And since it was just us and we talk all the time, we ran out of things to talk about. And we were so dang tired, I almost fell asleep! But it was yummy and a new experience for us, we've never been there. It's a fondue resturant, for those that don't know. But one of the pricest places we've ever been! So probably the last time we'll go in quite awhile. Jeremy got me a card that said "For your anniversary, how does a cruise to the caribbean sound?" Then you open it up and it makes the big cruise ship horn noise! Jerk! I could seriously use a REAL ONE right about now. Maybe next year....Love you honey!
