Funny story....so Mailmen work rain, snow, shine or just whenever! So Jeremy clears the driveway Sunday night so he can get out. Well Monday not 5 minutes after he left I get a wake up call saying he is stuck on the street by our side yard (around the corner)!!! I put on every warm thing I can, then go out to help get him out. We dig and dig and a nice neighbor even came to help us out. Well, it wasn't going to work. So we got the car parked by the curb. Jeremy being the ever so diligent employee then takes off on foot to work, took him about 34-40 minutes to get there, when its normally a 5-8 minute drive. He got a ride home, but this morning again walked to work! He is CRAZY! My work got canceled for yesterday and today. Looks like more snow tomorrow and we are pretty much stuck here for Christmas! Should be in the 40's by Friday, so we'll go to WA this weekend to celebrate and drop my sister off so she can see the rest of the family. Meanwhile, we are trying to entertain eachother and not go crazy stuck indoors. Ava is having a blast w/ her Aunt though! Good thing I finished shopping last week, cause we only made it out Saturday and that was a bit scary. Enough of us, Have a Merry Christmas!!!!

Another snow day!!!

This is the 2nd sunday in a row that church has been cancelled!!! How CRAZY is that. The weather here is absolutly nuts. Its snowing like mad crazy again right now, there was already 6-8 inches or more out there. My boss called an hour ago to say he closed the office for tomorrow!! :) My sister Melissa is here hanging out, hopefully we can make it up to WA for Christmas on Wednesday. We were brave yesterday and ventured to the store, though the roads were crappy and we slid around a little. Jeremy was off snowboarding w/ the YM at Mt. Hood. We did a little snowboarding in the drive way today also, pictures to follow soon! I'm starting to feel "cabin fever" being on lock down! They have few plows here and don't use salt to de-ice roads, so staying home is safest! Oh well, it'll be a white Christmas for us! Hope the rest of you are having good weather!

Snow Babe!

I promised pics of my Snowbaby, so here they are. We bundled her up best we could (though her velour sweat pants soaked through) and headed outside. She wasn't so sure about the white stuff, but walked as best she could in it anyway. Love the little red nose! But is was COLD, around 10-20 degrees w/ the wind chill, so we didn't stay out long. Tomorrow we might get more, or at least this stuff will stick around. I heard that since last night in one nearby town there were 30 accidents already, dumb people, just don't leave the house! I had a doc appt for tomorrow and they called to cancel. I'm somehow expecting it to not be any better by tuesday and I'm sure work will get canceled, like they are doing for Monday. Oh what fun the weather brings! I would be happy about days off, but we take off alot around Christmas and New Years and my boss's wife is having a baby in Jan, so he's closing the office for 2 weeks! Oh well, I'll try to enjoy it!

SNOW DAY!!!!

SNOW DAY FROM CHURCH!!!! How awesome is that! The snow has been falling all morning and we were HOPING we'd get a call, then 10 minutes before we planned on leaving, the call came. I'll add some pics later once Ava is up from her nap and gets to go discover the snow for the 1st time! I'm sure all you from Utah are laughing at us, but we Northwesterners are wimps when the snow falls! We chain up our cars for less than 2" of snow. Oh well, gets us out of church and work (except Jeremy, mailmen chain the vehicles and still have to deliver!). Enjoy your Sunday!

Poor Santa, he's not too liked by the little ones....

I'm sure its not always fun being Santa! All the kids under 2 were crying because of this bearded man, one boy just flipped out and was kicking and throwing himself all over to get away from Santa. Ava took a few seconds to make the big pouty face and shed some tears, but then.....

Santa brought out the candy cane! Only worked for a second, she was more than happy to get off his lap! Too bad she didn't know it was Brother Brown, he is starting to become one of her good pals at Church.

Yea, I'm not so sure yogurt goes well in the hair, but its sure fun to play in! She dipped her hand in the container, then started liking and sucking her fingers while making an exagerated smacking of the lips noise. Where do they learn these things??? :)


O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!!! Took us awhile to get one, Jeremy was busy finishing up final exams! A big HOORAY to that, he is DONE with school for now. Until he decides to get his Masters and I decide I'll let him! He's been on/off (mostly on) school since we married in 2000! I'm soooo ready to have him around more, especially so he can have good Daddy time w/ Ava and Mom can finally go to the gym more often. Anyway, Ava has been good to the tree thus far, only this morning she was pulling off needles and sampling them. The tree is only half decorated w/ ornaments, cheesy looking!

And I must add, Ava is almost an official walker now! She is still quite wobbley, but she keeps on trying and sometimes picks up speed only to kiss the floor. And she is quite the talker as well, only phrase is "Uh-oh", which I taught her and she uses ALL the time now. She'll throw her binkie or sippie cup down and say it, funny girl. But she'll sit there and "read" books to herself, just babbling away as she turns the pages. This is a fun stage, though my cuz Audra doesn't think so (sorry Audra!). If only she still loved shopping as much as she used to, but I guess me not wanting to take her as much will cut down on my spending! Anywho, sorry to bore you all, but I have nothing going on but her. Except church, and I had to help decorate and put on the RS Christmas dinner this week which was alot of work! I'm soooo looking forward to this weekend when my sister Melissa comes from UT to stay w/ us until we drive up to WA for Christmas! Okay, I'll stop typing now! Playtime!!

This is some bad beadhead! Ava had taken a bath before naptime and this is what she woke up looking like, just in time to go to church. Crazy hair!

Ava now LOVES this play structure. She is quite the daredevil on it. Today Jeremy brought it in the house while he was home w/ her all day and he said she spent most the day playing on it. She is also trying out the walking thing a little bit more each day, she went a good distance across the kitchen to the living room today with no help. My baby is growing up....so sad!

Oh we love bubbles! Daddy always has all the fun ideas, probably why is more loved than me! Mom is all about running errands, cleaning the house, cooking, putting her down for naps and bedtime.....all the not so fun activities for little ones! But I guess she does love me too!

Thanksgiving fun!

We had a great Thanksgiving, like many of you did as well! My Mom, step-Dad, brother Andrew, and brother Brian w/ his family came down for a couple days. We had the Feast at my Aunt & Uncle's house across town w/ my Grandparents. So we had a crowd of about 18 bodies, it was fun and food was fantastic!

My Mommy and silly faced Ava, she has got the funniest looking smile w/ all those gappy teeth! I miss the cute toothless smile at times. My bro Andrew is in the background. He only came down to play our Wii system, some nights he was up till 2 am playing. Good thing he was the only one sleeping in the living room.

My Gramps all passed out, too much good food. I told my Grams to act like she was strangling him, since he already looked Dead! They are so fun to be around. I've been lucky to live close to them for a good portion of my life. Grams big thing is education, she is one of the big reasons Jeremy got back into school after we married and is now graduated. She thinks its very important to keep learning and that rubbed off on him in a good way.

My cute niece Kiera (Brian's daughter)! She is about 20 months old I believe. Love the little pony tails on top. The day before she had cute pigtails in back. Ava just wanted to beat on her the whole time, Kiera wasn't having it!

My Aunt Stephanie was showing Ava how to massage Daddy's back, she even tried it after I took this picture. All the kids LOVE Jeremy and kept climbing all over him. Ava was getting jealous and started pushing them off him, then she would climb on him. Funny gal, she's totally a DADDY'S GIRL though! Shanda, Kiera and Kael are in the background. We had fun w/ everyone here. My immediate family all stayed at my house, so we had 10 people and 4 weiner dogs at my house one night! It all worked out! I'm sooo thankful for a wonderful, close family!
